Ahh trends, they are typically hit or miss. But, occasionally one trend that was super popular years ago eventually comes back and stays for a very long time. Just like the dad sneaker, the belt bag was something worn by just about everyone in the 80s, some called them fanny packs. Now they are reimagined into something very stylish and efficient for the everyday use again! I didn’t really follow the dad sneaker trend but I was really into this belt bag trend because I love carrying around a bag that I do not actually have to hold with my hands. Very rarely you will see me carrying a top handle bag or just a simple shoulder bag. I prefer a cross body because it is more efficient and typically holds more items for me throughout the day. The belt bag has the same concept, just smaller and can be worn different ways, which I was very interested in. But if I was going to follow this trend, I wanted to do it right and get a bag that I can have with me forever and keep. (I don’t like to toss away trends which is why I don’t follow very many.) Enter this gorgeous Burberry Belt Bag that launched very recently in stores. I spotted this gem on Poshmark for a marked down price. The girl bought it and didn’t wear it and it came with all the tags and bag and Poshmark now offers an authenticated service where the seller has to send it to headquarters to be verified before I receive it, which was really nice! You never know online these days!! So, I snagged this bag as a gift to myself for moving up here, to NYC, living alone, and surviving school. Yes, this was a big gift to myself but, I typically don’t buy high-end designer things every single year. I wait for a long time and save up for something I really like. I have worn this belt bag often and I love it! There is actually quite a bit of room in there, it holds my wallet, and my iPhone 8 Plus, keys, lip balm, and sanitizer and I could probably fit some more into it. There is the front zip opening and a smaller one on the back. The closure is a side release buckle and the strap is adjustable. I will say I love this bag and if you want a belt bag or to try out the trend there are so many on the market at the moment in all shapes and colors!
