As part of our indulgence into the Italian culture, we were invited to an agriturismo, where you take part in wine tasting with hors d’oeuvres. For brunch, we were given four different types of wine and a Vinsanto to taste and they were paired with cheese, bruschetta, honey, ham and prosciutto. The owner of the winery showed us the organic process they use to make the wine. It was intriguing, even the bottling process is thought about carefully to protect the environment.

This was probably the most amazing morning I have had on this entire trip because we were all wine drunk by noon and the wine and food were so delicious. You cannot find quality like this anywhere else. The table of friends I sat with finished everything! They were a lively bunch, making the whole experience so much better 🙂

If you come to Italy, plan a trip to an agriturismo and support the local countryside and harvest. I definitely have some wine and honey packed to take back home!
