VENICE
For another three-day trip with the study center, we went to Venice, mainly to visit the historic sites and the Venice Biennale. Venice is gorgeous, but unfortunately, it rained on us for most of the time. We stayed on an island called Lido, which I recommend if you are on a budget. It’s cheaper, the food is also good, and there is a quick water taxi to Venice straight from the main port. There were tours the first two days of our trip, but the last day was given to us for free time, so a few friends and I went to the island of Burano. I also got spent time at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum and saw one of my favorite Jackson Pollock paintings, among other famous artists I adore.
BURANO
Burano is a small, gorgeous island about 40 minutes by water taxi from Venice. It is mainly known for its lace and brightly colored houses. I was truly enchanted by this island! I wish I had more time here but we had a wonderful time looking at all the little lace and glass shops.
I hope you enjoyed the colorful photos of Venice and Burano! Next time I will have to make a trip to Murano 🙂
