September 23 – 25
FINALLY! The weekend I have been waiting my entire life for! FASHION WEEK! A small group of friends and I decided it would be so fun if we tried to scout out fashion shows during Milan Fashion Week. It was the most amazing weekend ever!
We were there for Friday, Saturday, and part of Sunday for the shows, but first we all went shopping to update our wardrobe. I made a big purchase and I bought a Gucci Dionysus purse with blue suede and floral appliqué. It is so gorgeous, I am extremely happy with it. Along with the bag, I decided to also splurge on some Gucci heels, which are probably some of the most comfortable heels I have ever worn! To top it all off, I bought some Fendi sunnies and an oversized Moschino t-shirt that says “Just say Moschi-NO” (not pictured). I spent way too much money that weekend, but it was all for the sake of fashion, am I right??

For our first day of shows, we woke up early to catch Bottega Veneta. Obviously, we didn’t get in, but standing outside and watching the chaos of guests and models flow in and out of the event space was intriguing. I was snapped by some photographers, as well as interviewed by some other people on what I was wearing. It is interesting to me on what these street-style photographers look for in a fashion shot. Bloggers and the fashion elites were decked out in designer wear, strutting up and down the sidewalks. It was certainly fun to watch, we even had Anna Wintour walk right in front of us as she was going inside! I certainly had a fangirl moment.

Afterwards, we headed over to Blumarine and people watched some more. I changed my outfit to a denim on denim ensemble. I wish I would’ve worn more something more eye-catching, but I stuck with my go-to style to represent my personality.
After Blumarine, we shopped some more around Milan and then stopped by Philosophy Official to see if we could see anything. We were too late, so we left to have a wonderful dinner by the river walk on the other side of Milan.
Milano is definitely one of my favorite cities so far in Italy. It is more upscale, there’s more events happening, and it is the center of Italian fashion! I strongly recommend visiting Milan and don’t forget to go inside the Duomo! It is a gorgeous representation of gothic architecture in Italy that will leave you gasping for air.
Until next time Milano! 😉
