This is a super late post, but this past Monday was my 21st birthday! There wasn’t much I could do on a Monday, but I had a wonderful time with my family and friends, which meant more to me than anything else. Did I get super wasted? No, but I did have my fair share of margheritas, since Monday coincidentally was National Margherita Day.

Taking some time to reflect, I feel like 21 is the big introduction into adulthood.  I can no longer pull the ‘I’m still a kid’ excuse every time I screw up. I may not be considered a kid anymore, but I am still learning and will make more mistakes. It is an age of maturity though. Two years ago, 19 felt like a whole other realm of experience. There is a huge step between 19 and 21 even though it is a just two year difference. Lots of growing up happened… and now I am a different person. I hope to continue to grow, slowly but surely.

Anyways, enough with my personal thoughts. Below are some pictures of my birthday festivities on the day of (some are still scheduled to happen this weekend). One thing I received that I was totally stoked about was my first nice camera, by nice I mean with a good lens, because I have been wanting better quality pictures for my blog posts, vacation pictures, and etc. Plus, I’m going on study abroad next fall, so I wanted a camera that was small enough to carry comfortably yet professional enough to capture high-quality photos. I plan on using this baby soon!

Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, I had a wonderful day!
