I have decided I am going to continue to post my past travels, so you guys can see where I have been. Don’t worry, there is only one or two more trips to go because I do not have photographs of the rest.
Anyways, in July 2012, my family and I decided to travel to Greece for the first time since 2004. In 2004, we went to see the Olympic Opening Ceremonies in Athens. It had been a long eight years since we visited, so we were excited to be back.
We stayed at our house in Crete for the majority of time. Anytime we go to Crete we like to visit the Palace of Knossos, so we spent a day there in the beginning of the trip.
The next week we traveled to Santorini, about two hours by boat from Heraklion, Crete. Santorini is the most beautiful, un-worldly place EVER! My photos do not even grasp the beauty of this island. It was once a volcanic island that had a devasting explosion millions of year ago and left only a crater and a small island in the center, which is the current active volcano today. My father, sister, and I took the boat to the small volano, hiked it, then swam in the hot springs. It is definitely an experience to try! I recommend Santorini to anybody who wants to visit Greece. This island is so unique, there is nothing else like it in the world.
Later in the trip, we stayed a fews days in southern town of Paleochora, Crete. It was desolate, open, and gorgeous. Definitely a go-to town for people who like quite and empty places.
I hope you enjoy my photographs. I was really into intense filters back in 2012 haha!
I also hope you guys have been enjoying my travels. I will be posting different content soon.
